18 Magnolia High School Choir Students Earn All-Region Honors; Eight Advance to State Auditions
Magnolia, Arkansas — The Magnolia School District is proud to recognize 18 Magnolia High School Choir students who earned placements through the 2026 All-Region Choir auditions, with eight students earning the opportunity to advance to State Auditions.
The results reflect the hard work, preparation, and musical talent of MHS Choir students, who competed for placements across six vocal sections: Soprano 1, Soprano 2, Alto 1, Alto 2, Bass 1, and Bass 2.

MHS Dance Team Sweeps Lakeside Invitational with Three First-Place Finishes
Magnolia, Arkansas — The Magnolia High School Dance Team delivered a clean sweep at the Lakeside Invitational Dance Competition on Friday, October 3rd, earning three first-place finishes and recording the highest-scoring Pom routine of the day across all classifications.
MHS Dance competed in three categories and took the top spot in each, earning:
1st Place — 1A–4A Hip Hop
1st Place — 1A–4A Jazz
1st Place — 1A–4A Pom

Tuesday evening, the Magnolia Chapter of the National Honor Society inducted 66 new members. We are proud of these students for exemplifying scholarship, leadership, service, and character. We were pleased to welcome MHS alumnus Dr. Austin Roark as our guest speaker, who shared words of wisdom with the inductees. Congratulations to our 2026 inductees!
Today in World History, students prepared for the Atlas writing test tomorrow by practicing writing introductions in response to historical informative essay prompts.
MHS students gathered around the flagpole this morning for See You at the Pole to share in a time of prayer for our school and community.
This was a beautiful reminder of the strength found in faith and fellowship. ❤️

Cybersecurity Cookies Challenge
Learning cybersecurity doesn't always mean sitting behind a computer! Our Intro to Computer Science students put their observation, problem-solving, and quick-thinking skills to work with a fun twist on the classic game Spoons—Cookies!
While the activity was fun and competitive, students were also practicing skills that are important in cybersecurity, such as paying attention to patterns, making quick decisions, recognizing changes, and responding to what is happening around them.
After the game, students connected the activity to real-world cybersecurity concepts and discussed how cybersecurity professionals must constantly monitor systems, recognize unusual activity, and make decisions quickly.
Who knew cybersecurity could be this much fun?

Mrs. Beard’s CNA students put their skills into practice today as they worked on infectious disease control. Learning proper procedures for preventing the spread of infection is an important part of preparing for careers in healthcare!

Today in AP World History, students demonstrated organization and historical thinking skills by comparing evidence to identify continuities and changes in cultural practices across East Asia while examining China's influence on neighboring societies during the post-classical era.
