Counselor’s Corner: Growth Mindset & Goal Setting

This month, our students are focusing on building a growth mindset and learning how to set achievable goals. These skills help students stay motivated, bounce back from challenges, and keep working toward success.

Student Challenge: Each student is encouraged to set one meaningful goal this month and track their progress.

For Parents & Community: We invite YOU to join us in practicing growth mindset and goal setting too! When students see adults modeling these skills, it makes an even bigger impact. Scan the QR code below to access resources, tips, and activities you can use at home or work.

Let’s grow together!

Lithium Learns Spotlight

We were honored to welcome Mark Day, Public Relations and Land Manager for Lanxess, as a guest speaker for the 1st Cohort of the Lithium Learns Program at Magnolia High School!

Mr. Day gave students a behind-the-scenes look at what companies like Lanxess do, sharing real-world insights into the lithium industry. He also did a fantastic job explaining career pathways, employment opportunities, and the benefits that come with working in the field. Mr. Day walked them through job-type scenarios, interview strategies, and real workplace situations—helping them connect classroom learning to the world of work.

Congratulations to Eric Guidry for winning the door prize!

A huge thank you to Mr. Day and Lanxess for investing in our students and helping them prepare for bright futures in the workforce!
